Louisiana Youth to Compete in National Reining Horse Association Adequan North American Affiliate Championships

 National Reining Horse and American Quarter Horse member Shelby Reine of LaPlace, Louisiana was the Reserve Champion in the Youth 13 under reining class in the NRHA South Central Regional Finals in Tulsa, Oklahoma held September 2 – 5, 2010.   Shelby  earned the right to compete in the 2010 NRHA Adequan North American Affiliate Championships scheduled to take place during the NRHA Futurity in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma from November 25 through December 4, 2010.

 Shelby will be competing with more than 500 of the top reiners from across North America abroad her American Quarter Horse, Intrinsic Ability in the Youth 13 and under North American Affiliate Championship class.  To be able to attend this prestigious event, youths qualify through their respective Regional Affiliates Finals and the top 8 highest placing riders, plus ties, are invited to the NRHA Adequan North American Affiliate Championships.

 The NRHA Futurity & Adequan North American Affiliate Championship Show attracts exhibitors and spectators from around the globe.  During this 10-day run, exhibitors will compete for nearly $2 million in purses and prizes.

 Shelby is 11 years old and is a 6th grader at St. Joan of Arc School in LaPlace, Louisiana.  She is the daughter of Michael and Alisha Reine and a member of the Louisiana Quarter Horse Youth Association.
